Our organic viticulture and winemaking in Saint-Émilion draw on many years of experience in organic farming. We combine conservation grazing, herbal treatments, full grass cover, plant-based compost and the traditional ‘quatre façons’ ploughing method, working with natural growing rhythms and lunar cycles. We continually develop our methods, guided by our own approach. This commitment rests on our passion for our different crafts and meticulous attention to every stage of winemaking. Environment

Environmental monitoring is an integral part of our work at the estate.

From March until the end of the harvest, Carine, our agronomist, analyses the vines and soils every week. By sharing our observations, we move forward patiently.

Equipment

Farming without chemical inputs relies on manual or mechanical work to produce our wines.

Soil

Our terroir was formed thousands of years ago by melting glaciers in the Massif Central and the retreat of the Atlantic Ocean. Siliceous soil over a subsoil of clay and gravel with a high iron oxide content is a distinctive feature of the Figeac and Pomerol terraces. This soil composition brings finesse and softness to our wines.

Winemaking

Nature provides everything we need for natural winemaking. Nicolas, an oenologist with more than 20 years’ experience, supports our research. He shares his passion for flavour and for winemaking and ageing techniques.
